Mr. O’Donnell is Associate Director of the Pamplin MBA Program at Virginia Tech and was formerly a Vice President in HR at the Charlotte headquarters of NationsBank (Bank of America). He spent 7 prior years with Dominion Bankshares (Wachovia) in professional recruitment, employee relations, and management & professional development. He designed and taught numerous management development programs for both, and has instructed college credit courses for the American Institute of Banking. He is a principal of Myrddin Embries Consulting.
He has consulted with NASA - Langley Research Center, the Veterans' Administration Medical Center, White House Apple Products, American Waterworks Association, Framatome Technology Group, American Electric Power, Wolseley Corporation (Ferguson Enterprises), Virginia Police Chiefs’ Foundation, Phoenix Integration, Textile Information Users Council, Litton Poly Scientific(Moog), and Federal Mogul.
He is a faculty member for Virginia Tech’s Management & Professional Development Programs. He has also served on the Professional Development Committee for the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) and has presented at the annual conferences for the GMAC and the MBA Career Services Council (MBACSC) and served on the initial Standards Committee for the MBACSC.

Mr. O'Donnell received a BA in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute and pursued graduate study in Economics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University prior to entering the military.
