Alumni Networking Events Taking Off

If you live in NOVA, Richmond, Roanoke, Charlottesville, or the New River Valley, chances are you’ve heard about or attended an MBA alumni networking event recently. Thanks to committee chairs Adam Mahmud (NV), Stuart Mease (ROA) and Arnold Little (RIC), and help from Tim Lawson and Todd Wickersty, each of these areas has held at least one recent event. Attendance has been building as the word gets out, peaking at over 50 people in attendance at the last Roanoke event, to which current PMBA students were also invited. The next event will be a picnic outing to a minor league baseball game in Salem on July 10. This event will include a picnic dinner at 6pm with game time at 7:05pm. The cost for the event is $20 per person, which includes food at the picnic and a reserved seat to the game. If you are interested in attending this event, please send a check payable to Virginia Tech Foundation to the MBA office by June 10. Current MBA and PMBA students and area alumni will be in attendance. This event presents a great opportunity for you to meet others associated with the VT MBA program in a relaxed and informal setting.
